Year 11 Examination Results

  The College is especially delighted with the outcomes for this year group as the students were significantly weaker than National measures as a cohort on joining the College. They have made excellent progress to achieve in line with national outcomes for attainment and above national for progress. 18% of students have gained 5 or more A*/A grades. The attainment gap between the most disadvantaged and their peers has more than halved. Post 16 Examination Results

    Year 13 students from Helston Community College are celebrating well deserved A-Level and BTEC results. 74% of the grades were awarded at A*-C, with 8% achieving the highest possible A* grade.  On BTEC courses 71% were awarded the highest possible Distinction* grade. Headteacher, Mrs Donna Bryant said, " We are delighted that the students' hard work has paid off. We are really pleased for our students and proud of their achievements and thrilled to see so many achieve their first choice university place." New Head Girl and Head Boy announced

After an incredibly difficult task, the Senior Prefect team for 2016.17 has been chosen. Students were interviewed by Mrs Donna Bryant, Mr Wayne Jenkins, Chair of Governors Mr Chris Webb and Student Champion Governor Mr Graham Vallender, for the position of Head Girl and Head Boy. It was an incredibly difficult task for the panel to make the final decision, but after much deliberation, the panel decided that Charlotte Laity would be the new Head Girl, with Shannon Peel as the Deputy Head Girl, along with Thomas Mallows as Head Boy and Thom Seager as the Deputy Head Boy.
