Year 11 Group Photograph update

The College's most recent large group photography is now online on the Tempest Group website. Helston College Gymnastics Team achieve 3rd place at the National Finals!

On Thursday 10th March the Helston College Under 14 Girls Gymnastics Team travelled to Stoke on Trent to compete in the National Finals of the British Schools Gymnastic Milano Teams. It was a very tough competition with 22 teams from across the UK all of an extremely high standard. Maea Morgan, Shannon Standing and Phoebe Jenkin, made up the Helston College Team. On Sunday the 13th of March, I travelled up to Plymouth to compete in the PUMA Southern Taekwondo Championships. I was expecting to be in the under 14’s category (being 13), after some confusion I ultimately ended up being placed in the junior heavyweight division, with lads who were: older, taller and heavier than me. Helston College Gymnastics Team achieve 3rd place at the Regional Competition!

On Sunday 6th March the Helston College Under 14 Girls Gymnastics Team travelled to Kingsley School in Bideford to compete in the South West Regional Competition. It was a very tough competition with 13 teams all of an extremely high standard. Shannon Standing, Phoebe Jenkin, Freya Tatham and Claudia Kitchen made up the Helston College Team. Fashion Academy Enrichment Club visit Frugi

Last week Ms Marsden took her Fashion Academy Enrichment Club to Frugi: a hugely successful Helston-based children clothing company who specialise in beautifully designed, long lasting organic garments and accessories. The students were shown around the whole building from the huge warehouse to the photography studio and met lots of the very busy staff.
