Big Bang winners for the second year in a row

25th April 2018

On Wednesday 25th April Miss Taylor took 6 students to the University of Exeter for a fraction event of the Big Bang Science and Engineering Fair. The students had to present their project "Could E-numbers be used as a new stimulant" to judges and moderators in order to qualify for the National final of Young Scientist of the year in Birmingham.

Both the judges and moderators were extremely impressed with the work presented and how confidently they were able to answer their questions, and our team was put straight through to the finals in 2019! The other teams will need to compete again at another event in Bristol. This is the second year the group have made it to the finals and they are looking forward to developing their project further to preparation.

The College would like to congratulate all who have been involved in the Big Bang competition.
