DASKOR-Y-ENEV (RESTORE THE GHOST)

29th June 2021

DASKOR-Y-ENEV (RESTORE THE GHOST)

Where in Cornwall can you find a mysterious miner, a vicar with supernatural powers, a tiny baby and a lifesaving engineer?

Come and find out on magical theatre walks in Helston's historic St Michael's churchyard. Fascinating characters, at rest in the grounds of St Michael’s Church will be brought to life by students from Helston Community College. Together, their stories reflect the drama and adventure of the Cornish community through the eighteenth and nineteenth century.

Guides will take audience members on 60 minute journey to meet extraordinary characters and to travel through time and across the globe, as the residents recall their lives.

Covid Precautions:

à                     Students are performing monologues.

à                     Performances are outside.

à                     The audience will be in small timed groups.

Tickets are now on sale from South Site reception 01326 572685. £5 per ticket.

Performances on the 15th & 16th of July, timed slots at 5pm, 6pm and 7pm.

It has been a huge cross curricular effort, the History department conducting research with year 7 students, the English department writing scripts with year 8 and now the Music and Drama departments producing a performance, it should be a night to remember!

Many thanks
