Inspiring growth and achieving goals.

Every child is unique, with their own set of passions, talents, and aspirations. When we combine these with the right skills and knowledge, young people are empowered to achieve everything they want in life - whatever that may be.
As a college for 11 to 18-year-olds, our supportive community gives students access to a wide range of programmes, resources, and opportunities to nurture their individuality and unlock their potential.

6th form - great education on your doorstep

Our post-16 offering is designed with students' needs in mind.

Our broad and flexible curriculum allows students to pursue a wide mix of academic and vocational courses to develop their unique talents and passions. We're here to help build academic knowledge and the skills needed to succeed in today's world - confidence, communication abilities, resilience, and problem-solving capabilities.

With smaller class sizes, we take the time to get to know each student individually. We stretch students when they have the ability to do more and support them when they need a helping hand.

And it's an approach that works.

Last year, 90% of our students were accepted to their first choice university, with many accepted to prestigious institutions including Oxford, Cambridge, and other Russell Group universities.

Whether your goal is to enter the workforce or continue your education, we're here to guide you to success by unlocking the strengths that set you apart.

Our sports leadership program is designed to help students build leadership skills that will serve them well throughout their life.

Thriving Music and Arts

At Helston College, music and arts are an important part of what we are. We've got something for everyone, from our internationally touring Jazz Band to our Rock, Brass, and Concert bands.

Whether you play for fun or want to study GCSE or A-level courses in music, arts, and drama, our experienced teachers are here to help students explore their passions and achieve their goals.

A Focus on Wellbeing

Helston Community College is a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters respect, empathy, and kindness. We value aspiration, personal growth, and emotional wellbeing.

That's why we're immensely proud of our student-led Kindness Ambassadors and Anti-Bullying Committee, who promote these values throughout the school community. Encouraging students to treat each other with compassion and understanding creates a positive and supportive environment, where every student can belong and thrive.
