Y11 Summer Ball - Clothing Event
THE OFFER:
Students can come along to the event to buy their prom outfit at charity shop prices (items to be £20 MAXIMUM).
No problem if they have already bought one – they can bring it along to pair it with some accessories, shoes, (also at charity shop prices) or get some styling tips from fashion students.
Refreshments to be provided.
Falmouth University will be providing stands for the students to drop in on (ambassador attendance dependant) – with or without a purchase:
- Learn how to do a simple embroidery stitch to jazz up an outfit
- Learn how to apply patches
- Understanding colour theory and learning what ‘season’ you are
- Tips on altering garments. Students might find the perfect outfit but be disheartened that it’s not in their size. Falmouth Uni will be on hand to give them hints and tips on tailoring it to fit.
- “Photo booth” = a mirror and viewing area to be set up and a Falmouth University student on hand to give them tips on how to take great photos and content in order to create those all important, lasting memories. *If the student/guardian wants this then it will be done on their own device with advice being given. No photos or videos will be taken without prior written consent from an appropriate adult*
