CyberFirst Advanced

This summer the National Cyber Security Centre will be running a virtual on demand Advanced course.
 
CyberFirst Advanced on demand is made up of a series of teaching videos lasting 30 minutes or less that you will be able to work through at your own pace. Each topic is supported by labs hosted in a virtual lab environment where students will be able to put their learning into practice. In addition, an online tutor will be available once a week for students to contact and seek help or ask questions. Students who successfully complete the Advanced course will then be given the opportunity to take part in a Capture the Flag competition which will have you testing your knowledge and competing against other students up and down the country.
 
The course is designed for those students studying at KS5 age 16-17.
 
The content will be available from 29 July and run throughout the summer, with support from a Trainer 1 day a week.
 
Those students wishing to take part in the course must register via the form by 3 July.
 
 
 
This on demand course will have the student working with digital forensics, understanding encryption technologies, and investigating using open-source intelligence techniques. They will also learn the pen testing methodology, utilising professional tools and techniques to test System Security. You will learn the pen testing methodology, utilising professional tools and techniques to test System Security. It will help you embark on a strong path into Cyber Security.
 
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
